Reports to the Technical Project Manager (Software)
Job Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Coordinator and Support who will report to the Technical Project Manager (Software). The successful candidate will assist the Technical Project Manager in coordinating and supporting the development of software projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist the Technical Project Manager in planning, executing, and delivering software projects.
- Support the development team by tracking project progress, identifying and escalating risks and issues, and ensuring that project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Monitor project schedules, deliverables, and milestones to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and document project requirements and specifications.
- Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, and tracking action items.
- Develop and maintain project reports, dashboards, and metrics to ensure that project progress is communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
- Assist with the testing and quality assurance of software products
- Support the Technical Project Manager in managing project budgets, resources, and vendors
- Maintain project documentation, such as project plans, requirements documents, and test plans
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the project management team
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 2-3 years of experience in technical project coordination or support, preferably in software development or IT services
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana
- Knowledge of software development processes and technologies, such as programming languages, databases, and web technologies
- Experience with quality assurance and testing methodologies is a plus
- PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
Salary:
3 – 6 Million Naira/Annum (DoE)
